Former Iranian Ambassador: Martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah Strengthened the Resistance Front

Tehran–Former Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ahmad Dastmalchian said the unjust martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has given new life and strength to the Resistance Front, stressing that the late Hezbollah leader remains a model for all freedom-seeking nations.

Hawzah News Agency- In an interview, Dastmalchian described Martyr Nasrallah as “the true son of the Islamic Revolution and a faithful follower of the Guardianship of the Jurist,” noting that his unwavering obedience to this principle was the key to the resistance’s victories against Zionism.

He highlighted Nasrallah’s deep spiritual and intellectual background, shaped by studies in the seminaries of Qom and Najaf and inspired by figures such as Ayatollah Seyyed Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, Imam Musa al-Sadr, and martyr Mostafa Chamran. This legacy, he said, found its full expression in the Islamic Revolution of Iran and guided his lifelong struggle against occupation.

The former envoy recalled that following the Zionist regime’s invasion of Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah, together with martyr Abbas Mousavi, laid the foundations of Hezbollah, combining religious scholarship, political insight, and a jihadist spirit to build the region’s most powerful resistance movement.

According to Dastmalchian, Nasrallah was not only a religious leader but also a capable political, military, and organizational figure whose leadership extended beyond Lebanon, influencing resistance movements across the Islamic world. “Today, even leaders of Ansarullah in Yemen openly reflect his thoughts and personality,” he noted.

He concluded that Nasrallah’s martyrdom, like that of General Qassem Soleimani and other martyrs of the resistance, represents not an end but the continuation of a school of sacrifice, struggle, and justice that is more alive and influential than ever.
