Hawzah News Agency- Speaking on Sunday at the Fiqh Center of the Pure Imams (PBUH) in Qom during a ceremony marking the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah and commemorating Iran’s Holy Defense Week, Ayatollah Kabi highlighted the scientific, moral, and managerial characteristics of the late leader and his prominent role in the arena of jihad and resistance.
He stressed that Martyr Nasrallah was both a jihadi leader and a pious scholar: “He was a son of the seminaries, a committed scholar who entered the field of resistance based on duty and jihad for the sake of Allah, earning the reputation of the Shiites in the region and the world, and becoming a point of connection between the Islamic Revolution and the global resistance movement.”
Recalling Nasrallah’s academic presence in Qom, Ayatollah Kabi noted that he participated in scholarly circles, including the classes of the late Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani, and was active in both teaching and learning.
He added: “With the occupation of Lebanon by the Zionist regime, Martyr Nasrallah felt it his duty to return to his homeland and enter the field of jihad.”
Reviewing the origins of Hezbollah, the Assembly of Experts member emphasized: “This movement began as a small Lebanese group founded on faith, piety, and guardianship of the jurist, and gradually developed into a regional and global force.”
Ayatollah Kabi also underlined Nasrallah’s central role in training Hezbollah’s forces and providing strategic leadership, saying: “He wanted everything for God and was always prepared for martyrdom.”
