Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a meeting of the Shiraz Clergy Association, hosted by Hojatoleslam Hosseini, Head of the Office of Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, Hojatoleslam Taheri Shirazi described Iran’s Sacred Defense as one of the greatest manifestations of resistance in Islamic history. He noted the unprecedented participation of youth and women on the frontlines and underlined the significant role of the clergy, who in proportion to their population, offered the highest number of martyrs.
He further emphasized the full support of the Shiraz Clergy Association for the Supreme Leader’s recent remarks on science, national power, negotiations with the United States, and nuclear issues, adding that the clergy community has always been at the forefront in defending the Islamic system.
Criticizing domestic voices favoring reliance on the West, he said past experiences proved that Western powers failed to honor commitments while targeting Iran’s commanders and scientists. He stressed that the Iranian nation has followed the path of independence under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader for over four decades.
On international developments, Taheri Shirazi pointed to the recognition of Palestine by certain European governments, including Britain and France, calling it a belated acknowledgment of the truth long emphasized by the Supreme Leader.
