International Symposium of Unity Conference Foreign Guests Held in Tehran

Tehran - The International Symposium of Foreign Guests of the Islamic Unity Conference was held with the participation of Hojatoleslam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, and a group of scholars, political figures, and representatives from different countries.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammadreza Mortazavi, Deputy for International Affairs of the Forum and secretary of the meeting, underlined that the Islamic Ummah today faces numerous challenges and said Islamic unity is not a slogan but a historical and religious necessity that requires empathy, dialogue, and mutual respect.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Sarhan, advisor to the Secretary General of the Muslim World League from Saudi Arabia, emphasized that Islam is a universal mercy rooted in the Qur’an and the mission of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He described Islam as a messenger of peace, coexistence, and brotherhood, rejecting any justification of war.

Professor Murtaza Hamid from Afghanistan highlighted the duty of legitimate defense against oppression and called for dialogue, unity, and mobilization of youth and organizations to awaken the Ummah.

Sri Lankan MP Abdul Rauf Haibat Rahim condemned the silence of the UN and Security Council over the genocide in Gaza, stressing that the credibility of international institutions depends on serious action. He also appreciated Iran’s firm support for Palestine.

Nusrat Abdibekovic from Bosnia warned against the decline of human values under Western dominance, while Malaysian Islamic leader Azmi Abdul Hamid urged practical steps and a binding roadmap for the liberation of Palestine, emphasizing that true solidarity is needed to confront US and Zionist hegemony.

Participants praised the efforts of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and stressed that strengthening Islamic unity is the only path to dignity, justice, and defense of oppressed nations, particularly Palestine.
