Every Eye Will Weep Except Three

Hawzah News Agency- Ja’far ibn Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Kufi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from al-Hasan ibn Ali, from his grandfather Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah, from al-Sakuni, from Imam Sadiq, from his father that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh an his family) said:

کُلُّ عَیْنٍ بَاکِیَهٌ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَ أَعْیُنٍ عَیْنٌ بَکَتْ مِنْ خَشْیَهِ اللَّهِ وَ عَیْنٌ غُضَّتْ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللَّهِ وَ عَیْنٌ بَاتَتْ سَاهِرَهً فِی سَبِیلِ اللَّهِ.

Every eye will be weeping on the Day of Resurrection except for three eyes:

1. An eye that wept out of the fear of Allah

2. An eye that was lowered from the prohibitions of Allah, and

3. An eye that spent the night awake in the path of Allah.
