Hawzah News Agency- Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar narrated that his father narrated from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from his father, from Abdullah ibn al-Muqayrih, from Isma’il ibn Abi Zyad al-Sakoony, from Imam as-Sadiq (pbuh), from his father Imam Al-Baqir (pbuh), from his forefathers, from Imam Ali(pbuh) that the Messenger of Allah(pbuh) said:
من طلب رضى الناس بسخط الله جعل الله حامده من الناس ذاما
Whoever seeks the pleasure of people at the cost of Allah’s anger, Allah will turn the very people who praised him into those who condemn him.
