Hawzah News Agency- In a tweet about New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, Maguire said Mamdani “comes from a culture that lies about everything. It’s literally a virtue to lie if it advances his Islamist agenda''. Maguire later doubled down on his remarks and responded to public criticism with vague threats, writing to one individual critical of his remarks, “You may not know this… but I’ve been watching you''.
“We believe most of Sequoia Capital’s staff and leaders are as horrified by hate as we are. Mr. Maguire’s recent statements are nothing more than anti-Muslim bigotry. We hope Sequoia’s leadership chooses to stand against hatemongering and relieve him of his position. Any other choice simply tells the world that at Sequoia it is open season on racial, religious, and other minorities''.
