Hawzah News Agency- According to ''The Official Website of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria", The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sayed Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) received the 33 people who gained freedom after spending 6 years in prison since the 22nd of July 2019.
29 brothers and 4 sisters remanded in Kuje prison gained freedom after paying a fine of about 4 million Naira, on Monday, the 26th of May 2025, following a judgment delivered by Judge Sulaiman Belgore.
Addressing the people, the leaders “for several occasions we had been taken to court and each occasion we were never found guilty of any charges against us or unlawful assembly…”
He added, “We know trading the path of Allah entails tests and trials. Those who trade this path have no offence other than their being steadfast on the path of Allah.”
He explained that no Prophet was accepted by his people without facing rejection and assassination attempts.
He concluded by praying to the souls of the martyrs and the injured.
