Hawzah News Agency- The second Iraq-Iran Science Week began in Karbala, Iraq with the aim of strengthening scientific and technological cooperation. The event was held under the slogan “Building Bridges of Scientific and Technological Cooperation” at Al-Zahra University (PBUH) with the attendance of the Ministers of Science of the two countries and a group of university presidents and scientific figures, and focused on exchanging experiences and promoting research cooperation between the two countries.”
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, and Dr. Hossein Simay Sarraf, Minister of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, at Al-Zahra University (PBUH).
At the event, which was attended by university presidents and prominent academic and social figures from both countries, the Iraqi Minister of Science emphasized the goals of the event in his speech, stating that it provides a unique opportunity for scientific and cultural exchange and the establishment of research cooperation between the two countries. He mentioned programs such as the exchange of scientists and researchers, joint research projects, scholarships, and holding educational workshops.
The Iranian Minister of Science expressed gratitude for the organization of this scientific week, emphasizing the importance and necessity of expanding cooperations for the development of knowledge and technology in the two countries.
