Hawzah News Agency- Simultaneously with the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet and Imam Hassan Mujtaba (peace be upon them), Ayatollah Mohsen Faqihi, a professor of Islamic jurisprudence courses at Qom Seminary and a member of Seminary Teachers’ Society, met with Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Ishaq Fayaz and Grand Ayatollah Bashir Hossein Al-Najafi in separate meetings.

In these meetings, he gave an overview of the scientific and practical process of Qom seminary and stated,” Qom seminary welcomes the recommendations and statements of the great Shia sources of emulation of Najaf Ashraf and will pay special attention to them.”

Grand Ayatollahs Fayyaz and Bashir Al-Najafi also expressed their memories of the prominent scholars and jurists of the Najaf seminary and expressed the difficult situation of the students in the past, and gave recommendations regarding the independence of the Islamic seminary, the need for the students to be serious in their education, and the necessity of preaching Islami and its conditions.

It should be noted Ayatollah Mohsen Faqihi is an Iranian Twelver Shi'a Ayatollah. He has studied in seminaries of Qum, Iran under Morteza Haeri Yazdi, Mohammad-Reza Golpayegani and Mohammad Ali Araki. Faqihi is known for his book Maʻrifat Abwāb al-Fiqh in which he summarized Tahrir al-Wasilah. He is a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom.
