Hawzah News Agency- The seventh edition of the Islamic Human Rights Award was held on Tuesday, August 2 at the International Conference Hall of IRIB and it was attended by Iran’s head of the Judiciary and the Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as several other notable domestic and foreign figures. Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, due to the creation of literature in the field of Islamic human rights, was honored during the award.
Kazem Gharibabadi, International Vice President of Iran’s Judiciary and Secretary of the Human Rights Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran was a keynote speaker at the event and said,” At the initiative of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the anniversary for the adoption of the Islamic Human Rights Declaration was appointed as the Day of Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity, and Islamic countries are required to hold ceremonies on this day.”
He stated,” In this period, Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, one of the pioneers in the field of promoting and explaining Islamic human rights, is honored at this gathering.”
The Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Award is an honorary award given by the Human Rights Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran to human rights activists or victims of human rights violations who have outstanding and effective activities in certain fields, regardless of their religion, race, and color of skin, gender or nationality.
The Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Award is awarded by the head or secretary of the Human Rights Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran every year in a ceremony held in the presence of the award winners on August 5 on the occasion of the Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day.
It must be noted that this year, this ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 2.
