Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Ali Abbasi , Chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University introduced some of the activities of al-Mustafa University and the background of its formation in a meeting with Mr. Shahcheraghi, the governor of Qom on Tuesday, July 19 and said, "Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, foreign interest towards al-Mustafa is growing worldwide and as a result, the presence of non-Iranian students in Qom seminary from all over the world was formed to the point that Today, students from nearly 130 nationalities are studying in al-Mustafa University, which is unprecedented in the history of Iranian seminaries.”
He continued by saying that Al-Mustafa University is a well-known international Islamic scientific center and works as an active member in the world's academic unions and has put the field of Islamic sciences, humanities, language and culture on its agenda. Currently, nearly 160 fields, courses and orientations are offered in Al-Mustafa International University, and the launch of some of these fields is one of the initiatives of Al-Mustafa University. According to the educational transformation plan of Al-Mustafa University, the disciplines and trends of this scientific complex will be upgraded to more than four hundred in near future.
The chancellor of al-Mustafa University also referred to the presence of al-Mustafa representatives in different cities of Iran as well as in different parts of the world and stated, “Now, al-Mustafa University is present in 33 regional offices in more than 60 countries around the world, and the education of followers of other Islamic religions is based on their own teachings which is one of the unique features of this academic center.”
He went on to introduce Al-Mustafa Virtual University and the Institute of Short-Term Education and Study Opportunities of Al-Mustafa University and added, “ Online education is one of the important strategies of development in Al-Mustafa University in the future due to lower costs and the possibility of further development. Also, the Institute of short-term education and study opportunities of al-Mustafa annually hosts thousands of scholars and professors from around the world.”
