"Indian scholars play a vital role in the heart of seminaries; Islam and Shi’ism are indebted to their services and efforts," said Ayatollah Arafi.

Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Arafi, Head of the Iranian Islamic seminaries, had a meeting with Indian Friday Imams in Qom on Sunday, May 29 during which he commemorated the endeavors of Islamic scholars, especially the great scholars of India and said, "Indian scholars served as the source of many services and efforts to promote Islam in holy city of Najaf, Qom and other parts of the world."

Highlighting the influence of Indian scholars on Islam and Shi’ism, the head of Iran’s seminaries added, "There is no doubt that Indian scholars played a vital role in the heart of seminaries, Islam and Shi’ism are indebted to their services and endeavors.”

Ayatollah Arafi went on to say, “Our duty as the members of Muslim community today is to keep this flag high and we must take big steps in accordance with the current developments of present world.”

The member of the Supreme Council of Islamic Seminaries Ayatollah Arafi also expressed satisfaction with the services provided in India in order to promote Islamic teachings and stated, "Good activities done in India, such as organizing the network of Friday Prayer leaders and connecting these networks to integrate their efforts are very valuable and strategic plans."
