Hawzah News Agency- The first symposium of the "Scientific Authority of the Holy Quran" with the presence of a group of thinkers and researchers from Turkish universities was held in Ghadir Conference Hall in Qom on Monday, May 23 in order to answer the intellectual inquiries of contemporary society. The event was hosted by the Islamic Propagation Office of Qom Seminary.

According to this report, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Taghi Sobhani, head of the Islamic Center for Deepening Religious Beliefs of Islamic Propagation Office spoke on capacities and methods of realizing the scientific authority of holy Quran.

This meeting took place in a situation where the world is undergoing serious changes and the Islamic Community is facing fundamental challenges and needs. Despite the existence of various schools of thoughts and claims of great human thinkers, contemporary man is faced with challenges and questions in the field of thought and action as well as practice. Naturally, these conditions place a great responsibility on scientists and scholars in the field of religion and Islam.

Despite the efforts of Islamic thinkers and scholars in various fields, today the Islamic Community does not benefit from a coherent intellectual and epistemological pattern. Islamic scientific and research centers throughout the Islamic world that are engaged in the education and production of religious knowledge do not have enjoy a common and unified leadership.

Today, we have no doubt that the introduction of Holy Quran and its valuable teachings can serve as the best mean and the best context in order to express the facts and meet the needs of contemporary mankind throughout the world. The way out of this serious challenge is to present holy Quran in the production of various scientific disciplines.
