Hawzah News Agency- The conference "Al-Baqi, the link between Islamic denominations" was held in Qom on Friday afternoon with the presence of a group of scholars and followers of different Islamic sects.

Director of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute Dr. Mirza Alizadeh announced at the beginning of the conference, programs that are currently being held around the issue of al Baqi Cemetery are in fact the prelude to Al-Baqi World Congress, which is going to be held next year.

He added, Reconstruction of Baqi Cemetery is a global demand and the noble Islamic figures who are buried in that place must not be overlooked.

The head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute further stated, Al-Baqi Cemetery is a great spiritual symbol that can bring the followers of Islamic denominations together.

Dr. Mirza Alizadeh, stating that currently two special websites for Baqi Cemetery have been designed in cyberspace added, one of the aforementioned websites is called" Jannat al Baqi "and in addition, several groups have been formed in domestic and foreign media with the aim of actively informing people about Al Baqi Cemetery.

He continued to say, So far, several symposiums of researchers have been held and several thinkers in this field are taking various measures in order to further the project.

The head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute added, also, several group meetings entitled "Council of Baqi" have been held with the presence of experts and specialists of the Islamic world in order to think about this important Islamic issue.
