Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian praised the OIC Secretary-General's stance on the issue of Palestine and the organization's efforts to establish peace and security in the region and the Islamic world.

Hawzah News Agency – Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a phone call with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein Brahim Taha.

He supported the meeting of the OIC ambassadors focusing on the issue of Palestine and welcomed holding a meeting at the level of foreign ministers of Islamic countries on the latest developments in Palestine and the investigation of Zionist regime crimes in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He also supported the establishment and continuation of the ceasefire in Yemen and stressed the need to completely lift the humanitarian siege.

He condemned the recent terrorist crimes in Afghanistan and called for more attention from Islamic countries as well as the international community to help resolve the Afghan’s problems.

Meanwhile, Hissein Brahim Taha described the issue of Palestine as the main priority of the OIC and the Islamic world and stated that the OIC has always supported Palestine and is trying to pursue various initiatives in support of Palestine and Holy Quds and assert the legitimate rights of its people with the support of major Islamic countries.

He condemned the heinous acts of terrorism in Afghanistan, describing it as an attempt to divide Muslims.

All OIC’s efforts are aimed at establishing peace and security in the Islamic world and developing relations between member states.
