Hawzah News Agency- In a statement on recent Iran-US talks, the Head of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan Hujjat al-Islam Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi stated,” These talks can only lead to positive and sustainable results when they are held in an atmosphere based on the principle of equality, mutual respect, and away from any threat or political pressure.”
Criticizing the threatening statements made by American officials before the talks, he stated,” The threat of military action against Iran is a clear example of an attack on the national sovereignty of an independent country, and the international community must respond seriously and responsibly to such provocative approaches.”
This prominent Pakistani scholar further noted that history has shown that sustainable and effective agreements are formed when the parties engage in negotiations based on common interests, mutual trust, and respect for international principles, and not from a position of superiority and hegemony. “The unilateral behavior of the United States will not only undermine global peace, but will also lead to an escalation of regional crises.” He added.
Pointing out the double standards of the United States and the Zionist regime, the head of the Pakistani Shia Ulema Council added,” While the West is trying to prevent Iran from accessing peaceful nuclear technology, it is simultaneously demanding that Islamic countries like Pakistan recognize the Zionist regime. This obvious contradiction has revealed to the world the true face of those who uphold claims about democracy and human rights.”
Hujjat al-Islam Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi also pointed out the destructive role of the United States' unconditional support for the usurper regime, and emphasized such policies are the main cause of many regional tensions and wars, and their continuation can lead the world towards a widespread conflict.
