Hawzah News Agency – Ayatollah Dr Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Vice-President of the Assembly of Experts, along with members of the Assembly, renewed allegiance with the ideals of the late Imam Khomeini by attending the mausoleum of the Great Founder of the Islamic Republic.

Speaking on Thursday morning at the ceremony of renewing allegiance of the members of the Assembly of Experts with the ideals of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the characteristics, thoughts and behaviour of the late Imam, and emphasised, "Our country today and in the future, needs to follow Imam Khomeini's principles and teachings more than ever to guarantee the success and pride of the country".
Members of the Assembly of Experts were welcomed by Hojatoleslam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini in the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini.
Ayatollah Raisi said, "Three principles of "Attention to God, sincerity in deeds and belief in people" are the main intellectual basis and practical conduct of Imam Khomeini (RA)".
The President described the "true attention of Imam Khomeini (RA) to the people as distinct from the political, instrumental and ceremonial views common in the world and stated, "Imam Khomeini believed that trust in God and trust in the people was a principle that should be properly recognised and taught as lessons for the future".
Ayatollah Raisi further emphasised, "The greatest interpreter of Imam Khomeini's school is the statements, thoughts and behaviour of the Supreme Leader".
"The Islamic system in Iran is known as the flag bearer of this movement in the world, and whenever the country has worked in the path of Imam Khomeini, it has achieved success," he said.
Referring to the various scientific, jurisprudential and mystical aspects of Imam Khomeini (RA), including dozens of his works in the form of books and messages, the President called these works a valuable and citational treasure that are used scientifically and practically in universities and seminaries".
The President also expressed hope that all parts of society will benefit from these rich jurisprudential, scientific, political, cultural and social resources and the country's officials, following the example of this thought and behaviour of the late Imam, take steps to develop the country and solve people's problems.
