Hawzah News Agency –Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the irresponsible and baseless remarks made by UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs are another chapter of the blame game waged by the UK and some Western countries to cover up years of inaction and following up US’ illegal and inhumane sanctions.

The UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Elizabeth Truss claimed that Iran had been responsible for creating dead-end in the Vienna talks and that all options are on the table.

Taking advantage of such thread-bare remarks and baseless threats does not diminish the legal and moral responsibility of the UK in violating the JCPOA and it will not undermine Iran’s determination to reach a lasting and reliable agreement that meets the Iranians’ interests, he added.

He reiterated that it is only Iran's strategic patience that has paved the way for the current negotiations.

Khatibzadeh advised the other parties not to lose their last chance at the negotiating table.
