Hawzah News Agency –The head of the Islamic Culture and relation Organization speaking at the 17th International Conference of Muslims in Moscow said all beings in the universe praise and glorify God, and the God-based outlook of the nature strengthens the belief in monotheism in mankind.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, President of ICRO in his speech at the 17th International Conference on Muslims "From environmental talking to environmental thinking: Finding the right way to speak" in Moscow, elaborating on individual and social morality of man said human being’s relationship is divided into four levels: relationship with self, with God, with other human beings and relationship with nature. These four types of relationships are intertwined and are loosely related with each other.
He added in the Islamic worldview, a monotheist man the one who is loyal to God can’t be different from others and act indifferent to his nature and soul. Rather, the believer must define his relationship with God and with other human beings.
The head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization said these four types of relationships define the relationships of human actions in daily life. When man is God-fearing and pursues a religious worldview, he cannot be indifferent to nature.
He continued by saying a person who has approached nature with a profit-seeking view, constantly uses and benefits from natural gifts and does not consider himself responsible for nature, but a religious person considers nature as the cradle and his habitat and the world as his farm for the hereafter.
Hojjatoleslam Imanipour further said such a view causes a believer to respect nature and look at nature with a valuable view, and finally, have a sacred view of nature."
Expressing the importance of nature in Islam, he said we interpret nature based on the verses of the Holy Quran and the Traditions. The believer sees nature as a mirror and manifestation of divine power, and from this perspective, he benefits spiritually, not merely material benefits.
The head of the ICRO reminded in the Islamic worldview, man is the representative of God. The representative or caliph of God means the successor of God on earth that if man has such a view, he uses nature to achieve his spiritual goals and considers it the need of all mankind and all generations.
Expressing some advice about nature conservation, he said from a religious point of view, human behavior with nature is appropriate and he tries to look at nature as one of God’s creatures. As it is stated in the Holy Quran, every creature in nature glorifies God.
Hojjatoleslam Imanipour acknowledged that all beings in the universe praise and glorify God, and man, respects nature and feels responsible for it. The spiritual view is God-centered and monotheistic, which instills such a belief in the living human being.
He concluded his speech by saying that in this view, nature, regardless of its benefits for human beings, has an intrinsic value and human beings commit themselves to be loyal to it, because according to the Holy Quran, man was created from dust and has a duty towards it.
