Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - several sources of emulation have called on the insightful and revolutionary people of Iran to participate in the 22 Bahman (11 February) rallies which mark the 39th anniversary of the country’s Islamic Revolution in a passionate, widespread and enemy-defeating manner in their lessons and recent meetings.
Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri-Hamadani emphasized that protecting the achievements of the country’s Islamic establishment and the Islamic Revolution is an obligatory and very important affair and said, "We must not forget the slogans of the beginning of the revolution, but rather we must adhere to them."
The prominent professor in the Islamic Seminary of Qom argued that everyone must strive to protect and strengthen the Islamic Revolution as much as they can and said, “In the last forty years, the people have stood by the revolution with full faith and loyalty and took the restful sleep from the arrogant powers. Being a revolutionary is not compatible with an inclination towards the United States, Israel and the West and those who are inclined towards the United States, Israel, and the West are not revolutionaries.”
He explained that on 22 Bahman, we must demonstrate to the people of the world that the Iranian people stand by the Islamic Revolution and said, "The recent riots and plans of the enemies cannot harm the people's passionate and conscious path and the Islamic Revolution."
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said, "The people stand against the never-ending sabotage and animosity of the West, the arrogant powers and the Zionists and they will continue to stand against them. The enemies think that the Islamic Revolution will be weakened through some non-religious acts."
His Eminence added, "According to Imam Khomeini [the late founder of the Islamic Revolution], protecting the Islamic establishment and the revolution is one of our most obligatory duties and the vibrant rallies of 22 Bahman will demonstrate to the enemies that the Iranian people still support the revolution. We must demonstrate our dignity, power and unity to the world and society must be united on the axis of Wali al-Faqih [Guardian-Jurist], namely, Ayatollah Khamenei, and we must completely obey him."
Each year, millions of Iranians take to the streets across the country on 22 Bahman (the date on the Persian calendar coinciding with the anniversary of the February 11, 1979 Islamic Revolution) to commemorate the victory of the Revolution, which put an end to the monarchical rule of the US-backed Pahlavi regime.
