Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - In a ceremony in Qom, Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli unveiled two exquisite handwritten Qurans scribed by an Iranian calligrapher.
During the ceremony the cleric asserted, “Allah (swt) has blessed the scribers of divine revelations to display these heavenly words in artistic forms.”
He added, “Imam Ali (as) was the first one who scribed the divine revelations; so you must be grateful to Allah for following the path of your religious leader and I pray to Allah (swt) to reward your endeavors with the same blessings he bestowed upon Imam Ali (as), the Commander of the faithful.”
At the beginning of the unveiling ceremony, Sayyid Ali Asghar Mousavian, the Iranian calligrapher who scribed the two exquisite Qurans, elaborated on the special features of his art works saying, “One of the two handwritten Qurans is scribed in Naskh font and encompasses the whole Quran in 54 pages, the other one is a mixture of Naskh, Sols and Reyhan fonts and is written in 550 pages.”
