Hawzah News Agency- “Since my entrance to Islamic Seminary, I’ve received several titles including the champion of National swimming Competition in Tehran in 2013, Certificate in swimming training in 2015, certificate in lifeguarding courses in 2010, Second winner of National swimming competition in 2015.
“I’ve grown a deep passion for swimming since my early teenage years and have taken courses under supervision of prominent swimming trainers on a professional level, “Hojjat-al-Islam Amir Hussein Mohammadi said to Hawzah News reporter during an interview. He’s a prominent national swimming champion and trainer who is now working as the executive vice-director at Imam Khomeini seminary in Western Islam Abad, Iran.
Executive vice-director of Imam Khomeini Islamic seminary further said, “During the time when I was swimming professionally, I won several titles on provincial as well as national-level competitions,”
“Since my entrance to Islamic Seminary, I’ve received several titles including the Champion of National swimming Competition in Tehran in year 2013, certificate in swimming training courses in 2015, certificate in lifeguarding training courses in 2010, Second winner of National swimming competition in Mashhad city in 2015 and the first winner of the ‘Unity between Hawzah and Universities Competition’.
Hojjat-al-Islam Mohammadi pointed at the importance of programs for exercising and strengthening the body as well as scientific and religious strategies. He went on, “Regarding the remarks of Iranian Supreme Leader who stressed on the growing need for education, self-edification and exercise, one must consider all these factors if they wish to succeed. As the proverb goes, a sound mind in a sound body.
He then referred to a narration by Imam Ali (PBUH) which says, “Zakat of knowledge is to spread and teach it to others,” Mohammadi went on,” According to this narration, I decided to teach my athletic experiences to other seminary students along with my efforts in promoting Islam and teaching Islamic courses. I hope this little step that I've taken could lead to improvement of physical and mental well-being of clerics,”
