Iranian Envoy, Cultural Attaché Honor Cast and Crew of "Children of Heaven" at Indonesia Red Carpet Premiere

Iran's ambassador to Indonesia and the country's cultural attaché have attended a special red-carpet screening of the film Children of Heaven, honoring the cast and crew behind the Indonesian adaptation of the acclaimed Iranian cinematic work.

Hawzah News Agency- According to the public relations office of the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, Iran's ambassador in Jakarta, and Dr. Yahya Jahangiri, Iran's cultural attaché, were present at the gala event, which drew artists, cultural officials, and cinema enthusiasts.

During the ceremony, the Iranian envoy and cultural attaché presented plaques of appreciation and commemorative gifts to the director, producer, actors, and other members of the production team.

The Indonesian adaptation of Children of Heaven is a localized version of Majid Majidi's enduring masterpiece, recreating its universal themes of humanity, morality, and family within an Indonesian cultural context.

The film has been screened in cinemas across Indonesia on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, drawing an enthusiastic reception from families, audiences, and aficionados of meaningful cinema.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Boroujerdi and Jahangiri described the production and screening of works inspired by Iranian cinema as a symbol of the deep cultural ties between Iran and Indonesia. They underscored the effective role of art and cinema in expanding cultural engagement and strengthening bonds between nations.

The ceremony also paid tribute to the filmmakers' efforts in showcasing the shared human and moral values that unite Iranian and Indonesian cultures.
