Hawzah News Agency, PURVANCHAL, India – A massive congregation of Indian Muslims, alongside prominent figures from various faiths and political backgrounds, convened in Purvanchal to commemorate the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (may God's peace be upon him).
The gathering, which included scholars, intellectuals, social and political personalities from different denominations, as well as the general public, stood as a "powerful symbol of unity, brotherhood, the awakening of the Ummah, and a renewal of the covenant with the martyred Leader's ideals," according to organizers.
Political insight and religious sacrifice
Addressing the assembly, Hojatoleslam Abdul Majid Hakimollahi, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, elaborated on the various dimensions of the late Leader's political vision, religious services, and sacrifices for the Islamic world.
"The sacrifices and thoughts of the Leader of the Ummah continue to serve as a bright lamp on the path of the Islamic nation," Hakimollahi stated. "They inspire today's generations and will continue to guide the resistance for years to come."
In a deeply emotional moment, the representative drew parallels between the martyrdom of the Leader and the tragic events of Karbala. The mention of Imam Hussain's (PBUH) suffering transformed the atmosphere of the gathering, plunging the attendees into profound grief, with tears flowing from countless eyes.
Hindu monk's heartfelt tribute
One of the most striking features of the ceremony was the presence and speech of Swami Sarang, a follower of the Hindu faith. Expressing deep affection and sincere devotion to the late Leader, the Swami articulated Ayatollah Khamenei's role in serving humanity in a deeply moving manner.
His words, which emphasized interfaith coexistence and the supreme principles of humanitarianism, resonated profoundly with all present, demonstrating that the Leader's message transcends religious boundaries.
A call for unity and awakening
Concluding the ceremony, Hojatoleslam Rais Haider Waiz Jalalpuri, an Indian cleric, extended sincere thanks to all scholars, the youth of the Jafari community, attendees, organizers, security forces, and representatives of political parties.
He expressed his hope that such programs will continue to serve as a means for the unity of the Ummah and the awakening of public consciousness in the future.
Symbolism of resistance
The staging and visual backdrop of the ceremony were described as deeply meaningful. On one side, religious and spiritual symbols were displayed; on the other, images of steadfastness, sacrifice, and struggle were prominent.
The atmosphere demonstrated that the life of the Leader of the Ummah was a blend of worship, leadership, and resistance—constantly teaching the nation lessons of awakening, awareness, and perseverance.
Message to the world
The ceremony did not remain just a memory. It carried a clear message to the world: the thought and mission of the Martyred Leader of the Ummah remain alive and will forever live in the hearts of the Islamic nation—from the shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH) in Iran to the gathering places of devotees in India and beyond.
