Salawat: The Heaviest Deed on the Scale

Hawzah News Agency- Imam Baqir or Imam Sadiq (pbut) said:

ما فِي المِيزانِ شَيْءٌ أَثْقَلُ مِنَ الصَّلاةِ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَتُوضَعُ أَعْمالُهُ فِي المِيزانِ فَتَميلُ بِهِ، فَيُخْرِجُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ الصَّلاةَ عَلَيْهِ، فَيَضَعُها فِي مِيزانِهِ فَتَرْجَحُ.

Nothing is heavier in the Divine Scale than sending blessings (salawat) upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. A man’s deeds may be placed on the Scale and it leans against him. Then the Prophet (pbuh) brings forth the salawat sent upon him, places it on the Scale, and it outweighs everything.
