Salawat: The Peril of Neglecting the Ahlul-Bayt in Supplication

Hawzah News Agency- The Holy Prophet (pbuh and his family) said:

مَنْ قَالَ: صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، قَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ: صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ، فَلْيُكْثِرْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ؛ وَمَنْ قَالَ: صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَى آلِهِ، لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَرِيحُهَا يُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرِ خَمْسِمِائَةِ عَامٍ.

Whoever says: ‘May Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and his family,’ Allah, Exalted is His Majesty, says: ‘May Allah send blessings upon you,’ so let him do so abundantly.

And whoever says: ‘May Allah send blessings upon Muhammad,’ yet does not send blessings upon his family, shall not perceive the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance is sensed from a distance of five hundred years’ journey.
