Hawzah News Agency- Addressing the gathering, Hajj Chengiz Ramadanov spoke about the significance of choosing meaningful names in Islamic culture. Citing verse 180 of Surah Al-A‘raf — “And to Allah belong the best names” — he underscored the spiritual impact of good names within the family. He also referred to a narration from Imam Sadiq (AS) describing households with names such as Muhammad, Ali, Hassan, Hussein, Abdullah, and Jafar as blessed homes.
Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mahmoud Faqih then delivered a lecture in Azeri, stressing the centrality of prayer as the “greatest pillar of religion” and urging adherence to its rules and details. He highlighted the role of Imam Mahdi (AS) in guiding humanity, noting that turning to the Imam—particularly through his special two-rak‘ah prayer—brings tranquility and spiritual reassurance during times of hardship.
The cleric emphasized that Islam is a religion of spirituality and joy, adding that after the period of Fatimiyya mourning, the community enters days of celebration with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (PBUH). “Whenever the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) rejoice, their followers rejoice as well,” he said.
Hojatoleslam Faqih also reflected on the noble character of Hazrat Umm al-Banin (PBUH), noting her humility and devotion to the children of Hazrat Fatima (PBUH). He highlighted her well-known statement — “I have not come as a mother; I have come to serve the children of Fatima” — as a testament to her sincerity and sacrifice, qualities reflected in the loyalty and noble character of Hazrat Abbas (PBUH).
The ceremony concluded with elegies in honor of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), as eulogists accompanied mourners in commemorating the tragedy.
