Hawzah News Agency- Speaking in a meeting with the Secretary General of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT) World Assembly, Eskandari said the Congress is simultaneously advancing research on three key figures for its future sessions: Martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the late Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani, and the late Ayatollah Seyyed Hibatuddin Shahrestani.
He noted that the immediate priority is the session focusing on Martyr Nasrallah, scheduled for next year.
Eskandari explained that calls for academic articles on the various dimensions of Martyr Nasrallah’s personality and intellectual legacy were sent to 100 institutions, including universities and research centers.
"So far, more than 170 article abstracts have been received by the Secretariat. Given the limited number of published works on Martyr Nasrallah, this figure is highly significant," he said.
He added that preliminary sessions on Martyr Nasrallah will be held in multiple cities and countries ahead of the main congress.
The Congress has also begun thematic interviews examining the civilizational and social dimensions of Martyr Nasrallah’s life and thought. Eskandari said 20 such projects have been defined, with the resulting materials expected to form the basis of several books.
He emphasized that the global reach of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT) World Assembly can greatly assist the Congress by expanding calls for scholarly submissions and hosting introductory sessions on Martyr Nasrallah in different regions.
Eskandari noted that the Congress is systematically identifying all books published on Martyr Nasrallah. Some works, he said, carry strong academic credibility, while others consist of interviews or collected speeches. These materials will help build a comprehensive scholarly archive.
Turning to future sessions of the Congress, Eskandari highlighted the importance of the late Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani.
He announced the formation of a joint working group with representatives of the late Ayatollah’s household to advance research and documentation.
Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani authored significant works in both Persian and Arabic on topics such as theology and Mahdism—some of which were translated into Arabic by Utbah Hosseini. Eskandari added that detailed discussions recorded during his tenure as Secretary of the Guardian Council are being prepared for publication as a collection.
Regarding Ayatollah Hibatuddin Shahrestani, Eskandari said that fruitful progress is also being made.
Correspondence has been initiated with the custodians of Iraqi shrines, and while 42 of Ayatollah Shahrestani’s books have been published, hundreds of his scholarly manuscripts remain unreleased. A specialized committee has been formed to work on editing and publishing these valuable manuscripts.
