Hawzah News Agency- Shaykh al-Saduq narrated from his father, from Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Al-Sari ibn Khalid that Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:
إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا عَجَّلَ عُقُوبَتَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ سُوءًا أَمْسَكَ عَلَيْهِ ذُنُوبَهُ حَتَّى يُوَافِيَ بِهَا يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ.
When Allah intends good for a servant, He hastens his punishment in this world. And when Allah intends evil for a servant, He withholds his sins (from punishment) until he comes with them all on the Day of Resurrection.
