Hawzah News Agency- Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid narrated that Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Bakr ibn Salih, from Al-Hassan ibn Ali, from Abdullah , from Al-Hussein ibn Yazid al-Nawfaly, from Isma’il ibn Abi Zyad , from Imam Sadiq (pbuh), from his father, from his forefathers, from Imam Ali (pbuh) that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said:
ألا إن شرار أمتي الذين يكرمون مخافة شرهم ألا ومن أكرمه الناس اتقاء شره فليس مني
Be aware! The worst among my community are those whom people honor out of fear of their harm. Indeed, whoever is respected by people merely to avoid his evil is not from me.
