Hawzah News Agency- On March 18, the day "Israel" reneged on the initial ceasefire, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PIJ) mourned its military wing's martyred commander and spokesperson, Naji Abu Seif, more commonly known for his nom de guerre Abu Hamza, who was killed in an Israeli assassination alongside his family and his brother's family.
In a video statement released Wednesday, the military spokesperson for the al-Quds Brigades, Abu Hamza, stated that the Palestinian people are facing a critical and difficult juncture and are standing at a decisive historical crossroads as a people, a nation, and a Resistance movement within the broader context of the Arab and Islamic struggle.
Abu Hamza noted that the Resistance's battle was forced upon them and was a direct response to the occupation's endless crimes in al-Quds and the West Bank, its actions against detainees, its siege, and its lethal attacks on the Gaza Strip. He affirmed that the al-Quds Brigades have been a fundamental part of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood since its very first moment.
"Before the first tank even entered, the Al-Quds Brigades were already deployed in the field with all our formations, ready to confront the enemy with our diverse firepower'', he asserted.
The military spokesperson further asserted that the occupation launched its battle against the Palestinian people in a manner that does not represent a reaction to the Resistance's operation. Instead, he stated it reveals a premeditated intent for a war of extermination backed by unlimited American support.
He went on to describe the occupation army as being utterly devoid of humanity and values, characterizing it as fundamentally racist and thuggish.
He continued, "We were fully aware of the difficulty of the path and the immense burden placed on our people, and we confronted this war alongside our faithful brethren in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran''.
At the conclusion of his speech, Abu Hamza stressed that the Brigades will remain a force to fight the enemy on its land, even if it continues for years, asserting that the al-Quds Brigades will never surrender its weapons.
He affirmed the strength of ties with all Resistance factions and said the relationship between the al-Quds Brigades and the al-Qassam Brigades has never been broken.
The military spokesperson ended by asserting that the Brigades remain committed to the ceasefire in Gaza, noting that they will monitor the enemy's adherence to it.
