Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a gathering in Lebanon, he underlined that following the Islamic Revolution, the Qom Seminary has experienced remarkable growth and has become an international hub with students from many countries. He recalled the recent conference marking the centenary of the seminary’s re-establishment, during which the Iranian Supreme Leader described Qom as “a leading and outstanding seminary.”
Hojatoleslam Hosseini Kouhsari noted that under the management of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the seminary has expanded its specialized activities, with a strong focus on religious propagation. He emphasized that promoting Islam to different audiences, including youth and women, both inside and outside the country, has become one of its central missions.
Highlighting international engagement, he pointed to the publication of over 150 specialized journals, as well as dialogue with other religions and denominations, including meetings with Pope Francis at the Vatican and representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church.
“We are ready for exchange and cooperation in all fields and hope that seminaries abroad, such as the Baqiyatullah Seminary in Nabatiyeh, Lebanon, will benefit from these ties and train a new generation of jurists and revolutionary students,” Hojatoleslam Hosseini said.
