Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the 39th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, Sheikh Qassim described Palestine as the heart of the Islamic Ummah and said the West, in order to divide and weaken Muslims, has deliberately targeted this heart.
He criticized some neighboring Muslim countries for closing their borders and depriving the people of Gaza of basic necessities such as water and bread. “Are these countries not Muslims? Nations that live on seas of oil cannot even provide food for their brothers and sisters in Gaza?” he asked.
The Palestinian scholar stressed that the demand of the people of Gaza is not impossible: “We are only asking for bread, medicine, and water. Is this too much for the Islamic world?”
Concluding his remarks, Sheikh Qassim urged Muslims everywhere to stand with Palestine, reiterating: “If Gaza falls, you will certainly fall too, because the fate of the Islamic countries is interconnected.”
