Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the “Path of the Islamic World” forum, hosted by the Islamic Assembly of Habllallah at the Husseiniyeh of Art in Mashhad, Sheikh Khaqani emphasized the deep-rooted alignment between Iran and popular religious institutions in Iraq. He also praised Iran's consistent support for oppressed nations across the region.
“Today, the Islamic nation stands with full strength and sincerity beside the Iranian people and their wise leadership,” Sheikh Khaqani stated. “The destruction of the Zionist regime is no longer just a political slogan — it is a firm and shared aspiration of the Ummah.”
Highlighting the Islamic Republic’s foreign policy, Sheikh Khaqani pointed to Iran’s enduring support for resistance movements in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq, describing this stance as a continuation of prophetic ethics and humanitarian principles.
“Iran’s commitment to justice for the oppressed is not political opportunism. It stems from the Islamic values on which the Islamic Republic was founded,” he said. “Iran today is not just a nation-state — it is the spiritual and strategic hub of global resistance against tyranny.”
Sheikh Khaqani also addressed the intense media campaign against Iran by Western powers and their allies, particularly in light of recent escalations with the Zionist regime.
“We are witnessing a propaganda war aimed at discrediting Iran by labeling it as a promoter of violence and terror,” he said. “But the reality on the ground reveals Iran’s sincere and active presence in supporting the downtrodden, based on Quranic teachings and ethical responsibility.”
He concluded by reaffirming the alignment of Iraqi religious authorities and grassroots movements with Iran in what he described as “a defining moment in the history of Islamic solidarity.”
The remarks come amid rising regional tensions and a widening chorus of religious voices across the Middle East expressing support for Iran in the face of Western pressure and Israeli military threats.
