Hawzah News Agency- Senior Iraqi cleric Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Modarresi had a meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, in his office in Karbala on Tuesday, August 27, stressing that even though the saga of Ashura happened in one day, it embodied the mission of all the prophets throughout history and raised the flag of monotheism and truth until the Day of Judgment. He noted, “Arbaeen walk is the starting point for building a righteous nation and a desirable Islamic society.”

Pointing out that God Almighty created the universe with truth and will support anyone who is righteous and has promised to destroy the rule of falsehood and replace it with truth, he clarified,” Islam is the alternative civilization all over the world and it will expand ritually, intellectually and culturally.”

Ayatollah Modarresi further said,” It is necessary to use new technology and methods in order to spread the light of Islam and its sciences and to establish schools for simple education in jurisprudence in Nigeria and all countries of the African continent.”
