Hawzah News Agency- The scientific-cultural conference called “Lessons from Ashura” was held at the Grand Prophet University in Kabul province, one of the affiliated schools of Al-Mustafa International University in Afghanistan, and it was attended by professors and academics including Mrs. Zainab Rezaei.

In this conference, Mrs. Zainab Rezaei delivered a speech on the lessons to be learned from Ashura Movement, saying,” Many lessons can be learned from the tragic event of Ashura. Some of which include: patience and perseverance since Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his companions defended human principles and values with patience and perseverance in the face of difficulties and challenges. Ashura movement is commemorated because Imam Hussein (PBUH) faced oppression to establish justice and fight against oppression and corruption.”

The Afghan scholar further considered adherence to moral principles as another lesson of Ashura and noted that Imam Hussein (PBUH) set a perfect example for the world and the future generations by showing the significance and value of moral principles such as faith, sacrifice and ethics in difficult circumstances.

The speaker of the event went on to say that prayer and trust in God are also among the lessons we should learn from Ashura; attachment to God, prayer in the face of any challenge and trust in Allah is a great lesson that Imam Hussein (PBUH) has taught us and we must implement it in our lives.
