Hawzah News Agency- The council revealed in a statement that approximately 6 million mourners participated in this year's Ashura commemoration.

Qasim Ali Al-Yasiri, the head of the Karbala Provincial Council, affirmed that the security and service plan for the Ashura pilgrimage was successfully implemented.

He highlighted that the province had developed a comprehensive plan and formed special operations rooms to ensure the success of the million-person pilgrimage, which proceeded smoothly without any breaches or incidents.

The Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari stated, “The plan for this occasion proceeded as planned, distinguished by the significant role of the security forces, including high-level intelligence efforts and continuous monitoring of the sectors with security cameras around the clock.”
