Hawzah News Agency- Head of Iran’s seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi said on Saturday, May 11 in the meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Shawala Heydara, one of the leaders of the Shiites and a senior member of the Islamic Supreme Council of Mali and the accompanying delegation that hospitality, brotherhood, and respect of the Iranian nation are not based on culture, but originate from Islamic teachings. It is taught in the religion and way of life of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), because Muslims, whether Shia or Sunni, are a single body in the religion of Islam and we are all equal, the same.
The head of seminaries further pointed out the importance of the second largest and most populous continent in the world after Asia and added,” I have spent two decades of my life with the African continent and its issues, I have made many trips to this great continent and I have always been interested in this continent. So if I were to choose a place other than Iran to serve, it would be to be in the oppressed continent of Africa.”
A member of the Iranian Council of Leadership Experts concluded his words by saying,” If I want to point out the love and interest of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the great continent of Africa, it is enough to say that during the lifetime of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RA) and now Imam Khamenei, the supreme leader of the revolution, they loved and respected the continent of Africa. This thought of the leaders of the Revolution is one of the main and strategic principles of the Islamic Revolution.”
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Arafi pointed out the developments in the region and the world and stated what is certain is that the African continent will play a significant role in the future of world equations. The continent of Africa has suffered a lot due to colonialism, and by the grace of God, Islamic awakening has reached the oppressed people of this continent, there is no doubt that the Islamic revolution and we as a seminary institution are at the service of the African community, and this is an important divine and human duty of The Islamic Republic of Iran.
