Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Mehdi Khamoushi, the head of Iran’s Endowment and Charity Organization accompanied by a knowledge-based delegation have traveled to Uganda to sign several cooperation documents. On the second day of this trip, on the morning of Friday, January 25, they visited the silkworm farms as well as Banana and Pineapple gardens in Uganda, which was launched by Seyed Mohammad Ali Mousavi, CEO of Iran-Uganda Holding and active in the African continent from the private sector, and also visited the excavation site of one of the largest slaughterhouses in East Africa.
This farm of several hundred hectares is located 180 km from Kampala, which was given by Uganda to Mr. Mousavi, one of the technology activists in the private sector of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In the silkworm production farm, he has considered 7 large halls for the production of silk thread, and in this regard, extensive workshops have been set up.
Also, a meeting was held with the presence of Hujjat al-Islam Khamoushi and the CEO of Iran-Uganda Holding, and investment in this field was discussed.
In the afternoon of Friday, Hujjat al-Islam Khamoushi while attending the new building of Al-Mustafa International University, delivered a speech at the end of a two-day workshop held for Shiite high school teachers in Kampala, and said, "Today, if we are seeing progress in Uganda, in other areas, some progress is being made as well.”
Hujjat al-Islam Khamoushi added,” We must act religiously in our words, heart and behavior. We must act as a person who is religious and committed to the rules of Islam. It is hoped that all of you will be supporters of God's religion, know God's religion well, listen to and understand the words of the Prophet, imams, and the Quran, and teach and educate the society based on the Quran and the words of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). If you continue on this path, God willing, you will lead the society towards reform, and you will no longer see manifestations of disbelief and opposition to God in your own communities, and this is a missionary jihad.”
Head of Endowments and Charitable Affairs Organization, referring to the talks he had with the government officials in Uganda during this trip, said,” If we can include knowledge-based diplomacy and knowledge-based technology in negotiations between governments, and encourage knowledge-based companies in Iran to sign contracts with companies in Uganda in order to deepen relations, the countries will benefit greatly.”
