Hujjat al-Islam Haider Ali Fereshteh has praised the Indian Supreme Court’s decision to ban new lawsuits on temples and mosques.

Hawzah News Agency- Founder and Supreme Leader of the Hyderabad Deccan Ulema Assembly, Hujjat-al-Islam Haider Ali Fereshteh, has praised the Supreme Court’s decision to ban new lawsuits on temples and mosques, saying that this is an important step towards restoring justice and ending sectarianism. This decision of the Supreme Court has created hope for restoring the trust of the people of India in the judiciary.

He further added that this decision of the Supreme Court is in relation to places of worship that are in dispute. The court has clearly stated that in such cases, neither a survey order can be issued nor an interim or final decision can be taken.

Hujjat al-Islam Haider Ali added,” The personal delegation of Indian Muslims has also welcomed the interim decision of the Supreme Court on the Places of Worship Act. This decision shows that the judiciary is acting impartially in resolving sectarian issues.”

He added that the Supreme Court, by adhering to the 1992 Places of Worship Act, has taken a decision that will be effective in restoring peace and security in the country.

The religious scholar also emphasized that in the last few years, some decisions of the supreme courts have strengthened sectarianism. Such decisions not only damage the reputation of the judiciary, but also affect the development and prosperity of the country.

He further stated,” The Supreme Court’s decision is a clear message to all those who want to use places of worship to fuel differences and fuel sectarianism.”
