Hawzah News Agency- The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al Abbas Holy Shrine held the Al-Kafeel Sofra program for the nights of Qadr and commemorating the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH) in five African countries.
The organization of the program was supervised by the preachers and coordinators of the Department's Center for African studies on the African continent.
The director of the Center, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that "the program was held in more than five African countries, on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH) and the blessed nights of Qadr, and was attended by followers and lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt (PBUT)".
He explained that "the countries are Tanzania in the city of Kigoma, and the program was supervised by Sheikh Ammar Moled. In the Nigerian countryside, and the program was held under the coordination and supervision of Sheikh Bashir Thani Mahmoud. In the state of Senegal in the city of Ziguinchor and supervised by Sheikh Yahya Tour. In Mauritania the program was held in the city of Nouakchott under the supervision of Sheikh Mohamed Fall. In Accra in the state of Ghana the Al-Kafeel Sofra program was held under the supervision and follow-up of Sheikh Noah bin Isa".
According to Al-Shammari, the program included a Quranic session and forums to mention the virtues of the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH) and the Council of his martyrdom and oppression, and sessions were also held to recite the supplications of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) for the nights of Qadr, as well as group Iftaar banquets were held for the audience of followers and lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt (PBUT), seeking the blessings of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (PBUH).
