Arbaeen Procession Great Opportunity to Promote Islam

Hujjat al-Islam Qazi Askar, referring to the huge presence of people, nationalities, and followers of different religions in the Arbaeen procession, said,” We must seize this important opportunity and capacity in order to promote and spread the messages of Ashura, which is to rise against the oppressors and confronting the evildoers; let's use Arbaeen opportunity in the best way possible to promote such Islamic values.”

Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ali Qazi Askar, gave a speech at the Arbaeen procession ceremony held in the shrine of the late Sheikh Saduq (RA) on Saturday, August 21. He referred to the sincere love and devotion of the people of Iran to Sayyed al-Shohada (PBUH) and said,” Recently, despite Iran’s tough economic situation, our people not only haven’t neglected Arbaeen and this magnificent ritual, but also we witness the increasing prosperity of this religious and Islamic movement.”

Referring to the Iranian Supreme Leader's emphasis on the Arbaeen procession to remain popular, he added,” The hospitable people of Iraq proved that they are very good hosts for holding such religious ritual, and what has been done in the past years with the blessing of this great movement, has been done to promote Shia Islam and also the Islamic world. It has been a source of pride for all Muslim community.”

The head of the Dar al-Hadith scientific and cultural institute called the Ashura movement and the mourning of the martyrs throughout history as the source of life, dynamism and growth of Shi’ism and clarified, “Late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader Imam Khamenei have repeatedly said in their statements that we should mourn and organize such ceremonies as the infallible Imams (PBUT) have asked us and in this regard, we should explain the goals of the Hussaini School of thought to the people in the best way.”

At the end, Hujjat al-Islam Qazi Askar concluded by saying that such gatherings should become the basis for the spiritual and moral transformation of the people, so that in the light of this spiritual transformation, the preparations for the arrival of Sahib Al-Zaman (PBUH) will be provided.”
