Hawzah News Agency- This Saturday afternoon, the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) hosted more than 1,400 university students to take their graduation oath, as part of the activities of the central graduation ceremony for university students for the current academic year held by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
The crowds of students headed in groups representing their universities, led by the Iraqi flag, from the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) after performing his Ziyarat, passing through the square between the Two Holy Shrines, amid the expressions of congratulations they received from visitors and their families during their march to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), where they were received by the secretary-general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed. Mustafa Murtadha Dhea’ al-Din and a number of its officials.
After arriving at the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), they lined up next to his holy sanctuary, to perform his Ziyarat collectively, and the special Ziyarat was delivered to the students by Sayed. Badri Mamitha from the division of Sayed servants, and interspersed with chants about Eid al-Ghadeer.
Then there was a welcoming speech to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by the educational assistant of the Department of education and higher education, Dr. Hassan Dakhel, during which he congratulated the graduating students on this occasion, where he explained, "to you, young people of Science and work, the warmest greetings and sincere congratulations, by completing the long academic path and your worthy scientific achievement, you are now the hope of your homeland with this scientific achievement and pride for your family and society.
But the University scientific degree is honesty, mission and responsibility, there is no doubt that you have earned it deservedly, you are aware of its requirements and are aware of its consequences, and based on this awareness and attention, and from the spirit of responsibility and commitment, we will repeat the oath of Covenant, honesty and loyalty"..
This was followed by reciting the graduation oath to the ears of the graduates who gathered from various governorates, universities, nationalities and sects, under the tent of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and the throats of the graduates shouted the oath with these phrases:
I swear by the Almighty to preserve the integrity of Science and work, to use it in the service of Man and the homeland, to strive for the development of my community, to sanctify noble human values, to observe the values of my religion in secret and in public, to cooperate on righteousness and piety, and to take into account the rights of all people, and God is the witness to what I say!
After that, the students headed to the Al-Ameed Educational Complex, where it is hoped that the rest of the events that will start this evening will resume.
