Theatrical performance

The festival was held by the Imam al-Hussain's (p) Holy Shrine under the slogan: (With the approach of al-Hussayn, peace be upon him, we build generations).

Hawzah News Agency – The play (Sinan the Super Hero) for the Childhood and Youth Division of the Media Department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine won the award for the best integrated work in the sixth edition of the al-Hussayni International Festival for Children's Theatre.
The festival was held by the Imam al-Hussain's (p) Holy Shrine under the slogan: (With the approach of al-Hussayn, peace be upon him, we build generations). Its activities were concluded yesterday evening, Saturday, on the stage of the House of Culture in Karbala governorate, with local, Arab and international participation.
The assistant head of the media department of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Mr. Ali al-Badri, stated to the Al-Kafeel Network: "It is necessary to make an important note about the festival, which is that committed theater is capable of attracting the Iraqi audience, and that the audio-visual arts can contribute to the dissemination of virtue among the circles of society.
We extend our high thanks and appreciation to the administration of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for its continuous support for various cultural activities, and we also congratulate the Childhood Division and the staff working on this great achievement, as well as the festival management for this remarkable success in organizing this major cultural event with international participation."
For his part, the Division’s official, Mr. Hassanein Farouk, added: “Winning this award amid local and international participation is a cause for pride, and this is not the first time that our works have received awards in this festival or others, but rather it came as a continuation of a series of successes aimed at promoting children’s culture.”
He explained, "The work was presented during the festival, and it met the winning criteria set by the organizing committee, in the forefront of which was competition and differentiation in technical and creative terms, in addition to the harmony of the idea with the child's imagination, as well as educational, moral and value messages in it and the integrity of the Arabic language."
In the same context, the member of the preparatory committee for the festival, Mr. Muhammad al-Hasnawi, congratulated the Childhood and Youth Division, “...for achieving this purposeful and constructive artistic play that is in line with the purposeful theatrical message, and its impact on contributing to the creation of a conscious generation and a wonderful childhood whose principle is lofty morals and correct education,” pointing out "that the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has a clear presence in all the festival sessions, all of which were distinguished and won advanced prizes."
It is noteworthy that the theatrical work was based on an educational topic represented in adherence to the directives of parents and adults, in addition to another ethical topic centered on the necessity of relying on God Almighty in all matters of our daily lives. The play witnessed a wide presence and interaction from the festival's guests, as well as Karbalai families and their children, and was praised by the festival's supervising committee.
It is noteworthy that the festival in its sixth session witnessed international participation from Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Spain and Iran, and is considered one of the most important theater festivals in the country that addresses the children segment.
