Our medical team succeeded in replacing the aorta with an artificial artery and the aortic valve with an artificial one as well, for a 43-year-old patient.

Hawzah News Agency –A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital affiliated with the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced the success of replacing the aorta and the aortic valve with an artificial one, for a patient in his forties.
The specialist in cardiovascular surgery at the hospital, the Turkish doctor, Dr. Youssef Abdelouf, said: "Our medical team succeeded in replacing the aorta with an artificial artery and the aortic valve with an artificial one as well, for a 43-year-old patient," noting that "the patient suffered from an enlarged aorta and a valve deficit with an enlarged heart."
Dr. Youssef Abdelouf pointed out that "the patient's brother has died because of his suffering from the same disease," stressing that "the operation was successful and the patient left the hospital in good health."
