The (Sponsor a Talent) project is one of the humanitarian projects adopted by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Hawzah News Agency –The (Sponsor a Talent) project is one of the humanitarian projects adopted by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine represented by its Public Relations Department. It is the first project of its kind in Iraq that aims to raise the level of the orphan and the Iraqi youth and develop their skills and talents, in order to create a conscious and educated generation of society.
The project was launched in 2018 and works on two axes, the first is to embrace and develop the talents of orphans, in coordination with charitable institutions, and the second axis is to support and embrace youth energies and those with rare talents. It has achieved good results during this period according to a well-studied plan of action, in line with the project's goals and objectives and the general situation in which we live.
The project manager, Mr. Amr al-Ola al-Kafa’i, told Al-Kafeel Network: “The project works on the post-orphan stage, which starts from the age of (15) years and over, as most charitable institutions cut sponsorship at this age, so the project begins with their care in order to develop them.”
He explained, "This stage is preceded by a preparatory stage, which is from the age of (12) years or more. At this age, coordination takes place with charitable institutions that sponsor orphans to the point of cutting the sponsorship of the orphan, and here begins the "Sponsor a Talent" project, continuing with this orphan until he is rehabilitated through intensive courses and workshops, as well as coordinating with private sector companies and businessmen in order to hire and operate orphans who have ready talents, or talents that qualify them through courses held by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for them and make them qualified for it.”
Al-Kafa’i indicated that "the project is going through several sequential and planned phases as follows:
The first stage: discovering the talent of the orphan and working to classify it according to a database for each talent.
The second stage: rehabilitation, and in this stage the orphan is psychologically rehabilitated through intensive courses that are compatible with the nature of the talent that he possesses, and work to refine it in addition to preparing him psychologically to adapt to this atmosphere, as well as entering them into an entertainment program.
The third stage: Training, where the person with talent or skill is trained according to a schedule specific to each talent and skill, such as artistic, literary, scientific, cognitive, and others, and this training program remains until he becomes fully qualified and trained, to qualify him as well to train his peers with the same talent.
The fourth stage: in which the orphan is qualified to have a job opportunity through which he earns a decent living for himself and his family, where coordination is made with businessmen and private sector companies to contribute to the operation and employment of orphans.
It is noteworthy that the project is supervised by specialized and experienced cadres in the implementation of its programs.
