Regarding the implementation for Iran-China 25-year agreement, he said the logic of this memorandum is to create a roadmap between the Iran-China long-term cooperation and to promote relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership level.
It required the implementation of various clauses in the economic, cultural, political, parliamentary and judicial fields.
Commenting on Iran-Saudi Arabia ties, Khatibzadeh stressed start of Iran diplomatic mission activities in OIC in Jeddah.
As President Ebrahim Raisi earlier said the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to open its embassy in Saudi Arabia and it the practical measures depend on the Saudi Arabia.
Iran will pave the way for implementing the issue, he noted.
Regarding the request of 110 American legislators to leave the Vienna talks, he said we will not have any comment on the US internal policy.
We only recognize a sovereignty in the United States which is its definitive responsibility in fulfilling its obligations in 2015 and under UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
The United States has breached its commitments under this resolution with bullying.
Regarding the occupation of part of Syrian territory by Turkey, he said that the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria must be respected and recognized by all countries.
We have the Astana mechanism for consultations between Iran, Russia and Turkey, and on difficult issues, he said adding that
negotiations are held both bilaterally and multilaterally.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Khatibzadeh said President Ebrahim Raisi visit to Moscow will be important and line with the Iranian government’s balanced foreign policy.
Cultural, political, economic, technological and popular topics will be on the agenda of Raisi’s trip.
Elaborating on Iran regional arrangements, he said the issue of neighborhood and good neighborliness as a definite policy of the government has been pursued in various formulas and discussions have taken place over the past few months.
In the Persian Gulf, we have had the visits of the foreign minister, telephone conversations and various consultations, the visits of some officials of the Persian Gulf and the regional states, and all these measures are in in line with creating comprehensive arrangements in this region.
He noted that some countries had suggestions that these arrangements could be extended to the Levant, and we supported any endogenous arrangements by the regional states.
Respecting the sovereignty of countries, preventing processes that lead to interference, non-aggression, recognition of red lines as well as national demands were among issues discussed.
