Hawzah News Agency –The Fatimi Season of Sorrows Festival, which activities are currently being held by the Hussayni Rites and Processions Department, at the Holy Shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), included a number of activities such as the free drawing studio for children under the age of ten in cooperation with the Department of Education and Higher Education at the Holy Shrine.
The event was attended by a group of students from the schools of the Al-Ameed Educational Group, where they translated their loyalty and veneration to this great lady, in evidence of teaching them to love her and follow her school on the one hand, and recall the darkness that fell upon her on the other hand, and to depict the tragedy of the Lady Fatima (peace be upon her) through art and painting.
Head of the Hussayni Rites and Processions Department, Hajj Riad Ni'mah al-Salman, told Al-Kafeel Network, “We held this activity annually within the festival’s program, and we want to instill the love of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in general, and the Lady Zahra (peace be upon her) in particular in the hearts and souls of our children, as well as to show the world that the love of the Noble Messenger and his holy family (may God’s prayers be upon them all), is part of our identity and heritage that we cherish, and we are keen to pass it on to these generations, generation after generation.”
He explained, "Our message through this activity is educational and awareness-raising for these children, in order to instill the love of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in their souls and inform them of the harm and injustice that has befallen them, through art, specifically drawing."
Professor Waseem Abdul Wahed al-Nafi’i, the educational assistant in the Department of Education and Higher Education stated to the Al-Kafeel Network that “the goal of the participation of learners of Al-Ameed Educational Group schools depends on two dimensions:
The first: To inculcate religious educational values in the hearts of the learners by involving them in these educational and religious activities, and the occasions associated with the holy imams (may God’s prayers and peace be upon them).
The second: Develop the creative aspects and the exploratory and psychological growth of the learners, because the primary stage is a very important age, through drawings we can embody the values of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) as well as develop the creative aspects of the children."
