Hawzah News Agency – The merciful prophet of Islam, peace be upon him and his household says:

مَن سَتَرَ عَلى‏ مُؤمِنٍ خِزيَةً فكأنَّما أحيا مَوؤودَةً مِن قَبرِها.

‘He who conceals a fellow believer’s shameful act is as if he has revived a newborn girl buried-alive* from her grave.’

* It was a pre-Islamic pagan practice to bury newborn daughters alive as a result of the disgrace they brought to a family, which Islam abolished.
